I am a student and have been using Google Meet for COVID-19 situation. I find it to be the simplest to access and operate, and most dependable virtual meeting app in it’s class. I highly recommend Google Meet as it poses none of the above challenges. If a participant doesn’t have the app, it downloads within seconds, vs Microsoft Teams or Zoom, which are more complicated, require sign in codes, more bandwidth, have less reliable reception, require longer downloads and are more complicated to operate for participants unfamiliar with the app. Operation is simple, as there is no need to enter a participant ID as I am automatically connected assuming the meeting has been set up by the organizer through a calendar e-vite. Reception from my iPhone is normally excellent, vs other apps which seem to require more bandwidth. For my purposes, I find Google Meet to be the most reliable and simplest app in its class, given it’s simple and seamless Voice and video service.
